Second Grade News for the Week of June 11, 2012

Reminders- ~Thank you to everyone who joined us for our class Mass on Friday. It was a beautiful Mass. ~Wednesday, June 13th, Cleaning Day! We will be cleaning our desks and classroom. Please send in a container of wipes with your child. Please put their name on the container. They will be brought back home. ~Thursday, June 14th, Moving Up Day. The children will visit Mrs.Kiblick on Thursday morning. Summer packets will come home on Thursday. Mrs.Koblick will give the children their Reading Packet. I will give them a Math Packet. ~Friday, June 15th, 12:30 Dismissal. ~Monday, June 18th, Last Day of School. Closing Mass. Report Cards will be given out. ~Friday Folders will come home on Friday, June 15th. All final tests from last week and classwork from this week will come home. ~Writing Portfolios will come home on Friday. ~In Reading, we will finish reading our last two selections this week. The children will not be tested on them. ~In Math, we will work on an Introduction to Multiplication. ~In Spelling, we will finish our last Spelling unit. The children will not be tested on the last unit. ~In Grammar, we will do some review work. ~In Social Studies, we will finish our last unit, Neighbors and Holidays Around the World. ~In Science, we will finish our last unit Dinosaurs and Fossils. ~In Religion, our last two chapters are about The Beatitudes and Making Good Choices and showing Respect towards others. Homework- Mon. Worksheet Tues. worksheet Wed. worksheet Thurs. No homework! This week we will use our Practice book along with our Math lesson in school.
